Main responsibilities:
- Support mission analysis activities for LEO missions and rendezvous scenarios
- Assist in orbit selection, mission phasing, and ΔV budgeting
- Support analysis of relative motion and basic RPO geometries
- Contribute to trade-off studies under supervision (e.g. operational concepts, mission profiles)
- Assist in preparation of mission-level documentation (MRD, MDD, CONOPS)
- Support GNC and propulsion teams with mission-level inputs and requirements definition
- Participate in technical reviews and internal design discussions
Requirements:
- BSc or MSc in Aerospace Engineering, Space Engineering, Physics, or related field
- Basic knowledge of orbital mechanics and space mission fundamentals
- Familiarity with at least one analysis environment (e.g. MATLAB, Python, GMAT, STK)
- Willingness to learn mission design and system engineering processes
- Ability to work with technical documentation and structured analyses
- Good written and spoken English
Nice to Have
- Academic projects related to astrodynamics or space missions
- Introductory knowledge of rendezvous, formation flying, or relative motion
- Basic programming skills (Python or MATLAB)
- Interest in GNC, propulsion, or space operations
- Familiarity with ECSS or ESA project environment (even from courses or internships)
