Main responsibilities:

• Perform mission analysis activities for LEO rendezvous and proximity operation missions
• Support pre-Phase A and Phase A studies, including orbit selection, mission phasing, and ΔV budgeting
• Analyse relative motion, approach geometries, and safety corridors for RPO scenarios
• Contribute to trade-off analyses between mission concepts, operational strategies, and system architectures
• Support the definition of mission requirements, CONOPS, and high-level timelines
• Interface with GNC and propulsion engineers to ensure mission-level consistency
• Contribute to technical documentation (MRD, MDD, CONOPS, SRD, MAR itd.)

Requirements:

• MSc or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Astrodynamics, Space Systems, or related field
• Solid background in orbital mechanics and space mission analysis
• Experience with LEO missions and/or rendezvous-related problems
• Proficiency in at least one mission analysis tool or environment (e.g. MATLAB, Python, GMAT, STK, Orekit)
• Ability to work at system and mission level, not only at algorithm level
• Good written and spoken English

Nice to Have

• Experience with rendezvous and proximity operations (RPO) or formation flying
• Familiarity with GNC concepts and constraints
• Experience with ECSS standards and early-phase mission documentation
• Knowledge of propulsion system constraints and ΔV sizing
• Previous involvement in ESA, institutional, or R&D space projects
