EROSS+ is a continuation of the EROSS (European Robotic Orbital Support Services) project. It boosts the maturity of the key building blocks of the European on-orbit servicing solution and increases their functionalities and performance in a coherent work programme targeting fast and practical deployment of the developed solutions in space. The project will also give input information for the assessment of servicing tasks for non-collaborative orbital targets. The ultimate goal is to perform a demonstration of On-Orbit Servicing Satellite capabilities. PIAP Space is a part of a European consortium and develops the Launch Adapter Ring Gripper.
In EROSS + PIAP Space will increase the maturity level of the LAR Gripper to TRL 6. Consortium led by Thales Alenia Space France (TASF) consist of partners: GMV, PIAP Space, SINTEF and German Aerospace Center (DLR).
